Abstract: |
In order to explore the fertility regulation effect of Si-P modified biochar on mildly alkaline Cd-contaminated soil and its effect on the growth of pakchoi, we prepared Si-P modified biochar(B5PSi600)with corn stalk, diatomaceous earth and heavy superphosphate at a mass ratio of 5∶1∶1 in a nitrogen atmosphere at 600 ℃, and studied the effects of biochar and Si-P modified biochar on N, P, K and other nutrients in mildly alkaline Cd-contaminated soil under different addition amounts(0.1%, 1%, 3%), as well as the effects on Cd migration and enrichment, biomass, root length and physiological characteristics in pakchoi, based on pot experiment. Results indicated that Si-P modified biochar significantly increased the contents of N, P and K in soil at 3% addition. Si-P modified biochar significantly reduced the contents of available Cd in soil, and promoted the transformation of weak acid soluble and reducible Cd in soil to residual and oxidizable Cd. The application of Si-P modified biochar inhibited the biological migration of Cd in soil-pakchoi system and reduced Cd accumulation in pakchoi. Under the application amount of 3%. The enrichment coefficient and transfer coefficient of Cd decreased by 38.74% and 34.89%, respectively. At the same time, the application of Si-P modified biochar not only significantly increased the root length and growth height of pakchoi, but also effectively increased the contents of nutrient elements(N, P, K)in pakchoi. Moreover, the oxidative stress of Cd on pakchoi was weakened, the chlorophyll content was increased, and the activities of superoxide dismutase, peroxidase and catalase and the content of malondialdehyde were decreased. The results showed that Si-P modified biochar had a good effect on regulating the soil fertility of mildly alkaline Cd contaminated soil and the growth of pakchoi, and the optimum addition amount was 3%. |
