| This study aimed to evaluate the comprehensive effects of different erosion control technologies on soil and water conservation, soil quality improvement, and crop productivity in sloping farmland of the black soil region of northeast China. A field experiment was conducted in a typical black soil sloping farmland in Dongliao County, Jilin Province, located in the hilly region of the Changbai Mountains. Six treatments were established, including conventional tillage(CK), contour tillage(CT), plant buffer strip(PB), straw mulching(SR), organic fertilizer application(OF), and integrated measures(IN), which combined contour tillage, vegetative field bunds, straw mulching, and organic fertilizer application. Through continuous field monitoring over two growing seasons, the effects of different erosion control technologies on runoff, sediment yield, soil phy sicochemical properties, and maize yield were evaluated. The results showed that the IN achieved the most pronounced runoff and sediment reduction effects, with runoff volume and sediment yield decreasing by 38.4% and 59.7%, respectively, compared with CK. The two-year average sediment yield was reduced to 2.5 t·hm-2, effectively mitigating black soil loss. Meanwhile, soil bulk density decreased by 9.2%, while soil porosity increased significantly to 57.8% under IN. Soil organic matter content increased by 47.1%, accompanied by notable increases in total nitrogen and available nutrient contents. Correlation analysis revealed that sediment yield was significantly positively correlated with soil bulk density and significantly negatively correlated with soil organic matter content(P<0.05), indicating that soil erosion is an important driver of black soil fertility degradation. These findings demonstrate that erosion control technologies effectively reduce runoff and sediment losses while improving soil structure and nutrient status in black soil sloping farmland. By enhancing infiltration capacity, conserving soil nutrients, and mitigating soil degradation, these technologies promote the synergistic development of soil conservation and crop production. Among the tested treatments, the integrated measures show the greatest overall effectiveness and represent a promising management strategy for sustainable utilization and conservation of black soil resources. |
